Founding Software Engineer

SquadOV is a venture-backed startup that is changing the way gamers record, watch, and share their gameplay video. We built SquadOV for gamers like ourselves because uploading and watching multi-hour long VODs on Twitch and YouTube is tedious and painful. SquadOV makes gaming VODs accessible to everybody whether it's to improve at the games they play or to create highlights to share with friends.

As an early employee you will be required to wear multiple hats:

• Frontend Engineer (C++, Electron, Vue, Typescript)
• Backend Engineer (Rust, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• DevOps (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform)
• DBA (PostgreSQL, Redis)

You will have the opportunity to scale our systems as we continue to grow, work with modern technologies, and play a significant role in shaping the engineering culture at SquadOV.

We're looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• B.A/B.S in Computer Science with professional experience or equivalent (please provide a Github profile with examples of your recent work) in one or more of the technologies we use.
• Preferably a gamer (if you have notable achievements, e.g. Immortal in Valorant, let us know!).
• Experience with any of the following is not required but is a plus: reverse engineering, video storage and distribution, video and audio recording, computer graphics, big data/machine learning.

Our Benefits

• Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 depending on level of experience.
• Equity: 0.5% - 3% depending on level of experience.
